Wayfinding
Santa Casa Porto Alegre
Hospital Nora Teixeira is the newest of the nine hospitals that make up the Santa Casa Hospital Complex. It is a modern and well-equipped hospital, with 14 floors serving different specialties, as well as inpatient floors and a new SUS Emergency Department.
The wayfinding project follows the visual identity created by ZON for the entire Santa Casa de Porto Alegre complex. However, in this hospital, it received a differentiated look in terms of materials - with finer and distinct finishes for greater synergy with its architecture.
The challenge of the wayfinding project was to structure a system to meet the multifunctionality of the Hospital: Technical Areas, Restaurant, Main Entrance, SUS Emergency, Examination Areas, and Inpatient Floors. With the aim of addressing different audiences and the diversity of uses, specific strategies were used regarding materials, letter sizes, color palettes, and mounting systems for the signage elements.
The result is an wayfinding that guides all audiences, simultaneously lightweight and discreet, fully integrated with the hospital's contemporary architecture.
