Rewarding deliveries.
In 2016, ZON received an invitation from the Santa Casa de Misericórdia of Porto Alegre to collaborate, voluntarily, in a project that aimed to improve the social and leisure spaces of employees. The Institution aimed to improve the quality of life of its employees. HR professionals, together with Santa Casa Engineering, identified 09 spaces that could receive architectural interventions. Initially, the project was called "Caminho do Lazer". With the evolution of the project, it came to be called "Affection with those take care others".
ZON's involvement in this project went far beyond proposing aesthetic interventions in spaces: we immersed ourselves in the project based on the concepts of Design Thinking. In this approach, which considers the direct collaboration of the user in the design solutions, a Survey was developed to identify the real desires of the employees. The survey showed the real needs in relation to each of the 09 spaces identified.
The subsequent analysis of the research, added to the exchange of information between ZON and Santa Casa, guided the intervention strategy, showing the need for a much greater delivery than that initially proposed for the project.
As a result, ZON prepared a Document showing the suggested intervention for each space, with the demands and the consequent architectural / design solution. The document serves to raise funds from partners and the community, which make the projected improvements a reality.
FIRST DELIVERY OF
"AFFECTION WITH THOSE TAKE CARE OTHERS"
The first space where the interventions proposed by “"Affection with those take care others" were materialized was the General Refectory [before].
For its optimization, in addition to the aspirations and demands identified in the Survey, we investigate, closely, how employees eat their meals and how they relate to the space. We collect suggestions and accompany lunch in the Cafeteria.
After the renovation, the then refectory was renamed “Restaurante da Casa” [afterwards]. It was inaugurated and delivered to the Institution on the 2013 anniversary of Santa Casa de Misericórdia, on October 19, 2016.
SECOND DELIVERY OF
"AFFECTION WITH THOSE TAKE CARE OTHERS"
The second delivery was the revitalization of the Central Courtyard. This internal square, surrounded by the institution's historic buildings, is very popular and valued by both staff and patients. The revitalization was completed in November 2017.
THIRD DELIVERY OF
"AFFECTION WITH THOSE TAKE CARE OTHERS"
The third delivery of the project took place in March 2018, with the first Comfort Room, at Hospital São Francisco.
The purpose of the Comfort Rooms is to offer, in each hospital in the Santa Casa Complex, a rest space for employees.
FOURTH DELIVERY OF
"AFFECTION WITH THOSE TAKE CARE OTHERS"
The fourth delivery was another Comfort Room, at Hospital Santa Rita, in 2019.
