ZON delved deeply into this project to respond to the challenge posed by the client: to think, conceptualize, create and design a collection of furniture for public spaces, using sustainable technology, maintaining the commitment to quality and attention to detail.

After a lot of ideation, we arrived at the ideal concept.

“A collection of furniture to create more welcoming, beautiful and democratic collective environments. Inspired by the dynamism of large urban centers and guided by a design that values details and the mix of materials.”

The Urban collection begins with the design of four seating models – with and without backs.

Urban Highline – industrial style, where the beauty of the wooden veneers is framed by a steel structure built in a tubular profile.

Urban Outline – simplicity in its pure perfection; benches with an exclusive and sober design, which harmonize with modern and historic architecture.

Urban Flat – a pragmatic design that represents rigorous quality, elaborate details and careful construction; light benches, in classic proportions.

Urban Soho – to adapt to urban architectural environments or to create calm and attractive environments; wide and strong wooden slats, aligned with the clever use of sheet steel, form the stable structure of the bench.

Today, the Urban collection is consolidated in the customer's product mix.

And it has proven to be an important sales opportunity in the B2B market.

In 2018, Urban Outline Bench won first place in the Urban Furniture category of the Bornancini Design Award.
